Welcome,

We hold Safety First as our main priority. We have the safest record in the industry.
Our objective is to make your day safe, enjoyable and stress free.
Our structure will allow you to absorb what is taught quickly and grow as a driver at a faster pace.
If you are looking for an event to go Racing, we are not for you. Please look for a group with the word Racing in their name.
If you want safety, like minded professionals, quality instruction & value added services, then we are for you!

FAQ:
Q) Are we racing?
A) Absolutely Not!, We all keep a safe distance from other vehicles; no wheel to wheel or bumper to bumper & no timing. Racing is very intense and requires specially prepared cars. We put on TrackDays.

Q) Will a put a lot of wear on my car.
A) Depending on your skill level; Beginners and low intermediates probably won't notice any tire or brake pad wear. When you get faster and participate in lots of trackdays, you will see wear on your tires and brakes. Most modern cars are very durable and handle trackdays with ease.

Q) What will I need to bring?
A) A current helmet,
Neck Support Cushion (or we rent them both),  and be prepared to have an incredible time!
We have cell phone chargers, sunscreen, snacks, drinks, etc. Please feel free to bring any necessities you may need.

Q) I've never been on a racetrack, what do beginners do?
A) Great, we love beginners. We have the best program for you. First, we send out a detailed document with bullet point items & video links which explains everything about the event.
At the track we have a drivers meeting that everyone attends. Next you are paired with your instructor for the day. Your first session on the track is a 35 MPH, Learn The Line session, with your instructor as passenger, doing lead follows with other drivers so you can study the track without any pressure since nobody is passing. After each morning session you will have a download session with fellow drivers and instructors.

Q) How much track time will I get?
A) This is the best part! We only have 3 run groups; G1: Beginner/Low Intermediates, G2: Mid/High Intermediates, G3: Advanced and Instructors.
G1 & G2 get 7-20 minute sessions! G3 gets 5-20 minute sessions & 1-50 minute session at the end of the day.
Sometimes we do 30 minute session days.

Q) I've been to other events and they have too many cars.
A) We only put up to 25 cars on the track at one time. So there is plenty of room. Just look at videos people post of our events.

Q) What food is available?
A) We supply a Catered Bag Lunch from a local award winning restaurant/caterer-Yum-Thumbs up from our Foodies. We also offer Gluten Free lunches along with other options.
We provide Starbucks Coffee, Muffins, Fruit, Waters, Sport Drinks, etc.

Q) How do I get on your mailing list?
A)
We use www.MotorsportReg.com, which is safe and secure. We do not sell or distribute your information.

Q) Do you have covered garages?
A) Yes, available for rent are the nice F1 Garages at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Q) Will my insurance cover my car on track?
A) Only State Farm will cover a vehicle at a non timed, non racing event. (see our agent for current information)
See our TrackDay Insurance Link for a provider of trackday specific insurance. It is inexpensive and gives you peace of mind.

In 12 years we have never had student car to car contact, No roll overs and only two vehicles have been hurt. We have the safest record in the industry!

Q) I have a Convertible, can I bring it?
A) Most Convertibles are allowed: All Convertibles Must Have either Factory or Approved Aftermarket Roll Over Protection(SCCA), Capable of supporting the vehicle in a roll over.
Examples: Factory Pop up Bars in Newer Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, MBZ-see your owners manual. Factory Hoops: Miata, Audi TT, etc. E-mail us for conformation.
All soft & hart tops must be in the up position while on track. Convertibles are only allowed in the Beginner & Intermediate groups and have speed restrictions.
If you are tall and your head, with helmet on, is above the roll over protection, you can't take that car on track.
These rules are for your safety, our instructors safety and keeps our insurance company happy.

Remember, Safety First!

Q) How do I get my car ready?
A) Easy, we supply you with a Tech Inspection Form. Most people have their mechanic inspect their car. If you are qualified, you may do it.
Ted at Valaya Racing in San Jose will Inspect your car for Free, appointments are required. www.ValayaRacing.com
