As I mentioned to you today, I think the the rain driving was the best learning experience I ever had.  What started out as, and could have been a less than perfect day, turned out to be wonderful.  A completely wet track with rain falling and wipers slapping, then mixed conditions with a semi-dry race line, concluding with clear sky's and dry conditions could not have offered a more challenging and satisfying driving day.  I don't think I would want rain on every track day, but I wouldn't trade that experience for any other.  I'm a much better driver in one day! 

Nice job with the logistics, as usual.  Picture attached (I love the mud, gunk and water which is why I bought the photo).

Hi Phillip - Our experience at Laguna Seca yesterday (4-29-09) was beyond any of my expectations . . . thank you so much for organizing this event . . . for helping me get it together for Mark (and steering me to the right place to stay) . . . for pairing him up with an absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable and passionate teacher . . . for encouraging me to take a ride (wow!!).   The whole experience was out of this world.  Mark said it was the best birthday present ever.  And I noticed a marked improvement in his driving on the winding country roads on our way home.

Phil,
The biggest thing I liked is your event has a better group of people.  We noticed it right of the bat.  Another group we ran with seemed to have a few too many yahoos breaking the rules.  Run groups are about the same A,B,C  C is quickest (not as fast as some of your clients) @ 20 mins. each per hour.  On Valentines day they mixed in a women's run group, bad idea, as 4 groups killed track time.  You already have them beat... better drivers, more organized...  Thanks Again, JP

Thanks for all the work you do in putting together the track day @ TH.

It was my first time and plan on returning for the October 15th
session. I am friends w/ Mike I and was lucky enough to be able
to hang out w/ the Spec Miata guys (it was a nice humbling experience
to have you and Peter fly by me on track) - it was also a blast to sit
in the right seat w/ Mike when he took one of the Miata's out for a few
laps. Finally, the best part was that I had Peter, Hugh and Mike as
instructors during different sessions. They each had their own styles
of driving and instruction (that is, they each showed me how to be in
the right place at the right time but had a slightly different way of
getting there) - and it was incredibly helpful to have all that input
in learning the lines and figuring out how to negotiate the track most
comfortably and efficiently (and of course safely). Thanks again and
hope to see you in the Fall at TH.

Thanks for a great day at the track. I had a blast for a rookie.  Dave my

instructor was very good and informed . Can't wait for the dvd.  It was very

organized and safe.  I will definitely be back in October and keep me on the

email list.
